Sheila understands the process for regaining health, the scan and the remedies she handles are very good. Also, just as important to me, Sheila's disposition, humility and personal qualities make the whole process a lot easier and I feel in good hands. All this remotely!
Silvia Madrid on Remote Scans
It's been a while since I went to your clinic and thank God I am back to work and, two years on, making a good recovery. One thing that seemed to go particularly well was the coriander 'pesto' which you prescribed."

Happy to report that following your regime I am feeling a lot better."

I just wanted to say a big thank you, the weight is just falling off and my asthma is a lot better."
– Jill, Estepona
Sheila's screening and advice has been invaluable in assisting my overcoming Rheumatoid Arthritis. With her help, over the last 3 years, my health has gone from really bad to pretty good, without having to resort to drugs at all. Surprisingly, even the remote tests that she has done for me have proved to be accurate and very useful."

If you want to wind up your GP mention Leaky Gut!
Few conventional doctors will recognize the condition let alone offer help, yet gastric problems are changing; fewer ulcers are diagnosed but there is an increase of celiac, ulcerative colitis and IBS cases.
The small intestine is where we absorb the nutrients from our food. Little finger-like projections increase the surface and move the food along the digestive tract. These little villi are tightly knit and when in good health, allow only the nutritional content – such as amino acids for building blocks, glucose for energy, proteins for muscles and digested fats and starches from our food – to pass through and into the blood stream for transport to our muscles, organs etc.
If the villi are damaged, inflamed or flattened the sieve affect is reduced and larger areas start to absorb more than ideal nutrients which means bacteria and toxic waste get into our system instead of being eliminated. This dumping of waste puts pressure on our lymph system and our liver.
Causes of a leaky gut are varied, but stress as it changes the acid balance of the gut, the overuse of antibiotics and over consumption of processed foods are among the main culprits. I have frequently found that the vegan / vegetarian diet over a long period of time will also contribute. On this note, I also find their toxic load is much lower than those consuming animal protein! A lack of digestive enzymes can also contribute, in particular lactose, the enzyme that breaks down milk sugars, this can lead to a lactose intolerance which in turn will irritate the gut.
Once the gut has become inflamed and ‘leaky’ many foods will appear to aggravate and become intolerable. It is also a favourable home for bad bacteria such as candida albicansen bringing with it a host of problems. It is very prolonged and difficult to manage candida without first dealing with the gut.

Treatment
Taking away the source of irritation, which may mean about 3 months of particular food exclusions; consult with a nutritionist before you embark on this.
Replenish with good gut flora – a high dose probiotic.
Supplements to repair will include L-glutamine, zinc, B6 and digestive enzymes.
Understand your stress. Adopt a way of balancing your life pressures with recovery – you are not a machine; the body does not differentiate between work & home. Skipping meals, being addicted to the adrenal buzz, over exercising will all eventually stress you.
